Croham Services for Children - quality fostering and residential care

Do I get paid?

All foster carers receive an allowance to cover the cost of looking after a child.

Most foster carers also receive a fee for their work depending on the type of fostering they do.

For the majority of carers, these allowances will be tax free regardless of any other income they may have.

Some of our carers also have part-time or even full-time jobs. For others, fostering is their primary job.

The allowance you receive for fostering is usually disregarded for state benefits you may be in receipt of.
