Fostering
Thank you for taking an interest in fostering. This section of our website will help you to recognise the qualities you've got that could help to improve a child's life.
It will also answer some of the questions you may have about what fostering is and what we would expect of you as a foster carer.
We hope this information gives you the reassurance you need to take the next step towards fostering - with excitement and confidence.

Recruitment update
The demand for foster placements is exceeding our current capacity and we are always on the look out for potential new foster carers. If you are thinking about becoming a foster carer and would like to talk to one of us about your interest then ring us on (020) 8406 5300.
We also have a rolling programme of recruitment events in communities across a number of boroughs over the coming months.
Subject to the approval of those who go on to apply to become 'approved foster carers' we will be able to meet an increasing proportion of the demand for quality placements. To ensure that only the very best become SfC carers, we are continuing to draw on the services of the highly experienced Elizabeth Hunt as independent chair person of our Fostering Panel.
For an update contact Chris Brann on (020) 8406 5300 or at chrisbrann@servicesforchildren.org.uk.
